Now to talk about AAUW Maryville Branch’s identity. Our identity has been and is being built through each of these components. We’re fortunate to have had great leadership to bring the branch back to life when it was close to disbanding a few years ago. We have members with technical skills so that we have a very professional web site and newsletter. Local identity is strengthened by having a project that is done year after year. Sister to Sister has been such a project, so that when AAUW is mentioned, the response is “oh, they’re the ones who do Sister to Sister.” Partnering provided strength and expands the number of people who know about AAUW.
