Knoxville Aikikai is part of a global system for instruction in Aikido.  The instruction at our dojo is overseen by the Midwest Aikido Federation (MAF) which was founded by the late Akira Tohei Shihan. Tohei Shihan had been the single authority for testing in the Midwest Aikido Federation up until his death in 1999..

   The qualifications for passing each level of testing stem from the standards set forth by the Midwest Aikido Federation
