Welcome! We're glad you're here.

Alcoholism is a family disease. It affects the body, mind, and spirit. Those closest to the alcoholic—parents, spouses, children, brothers, sisters, roommates, and lovers—are the most adversely affected. Coworkers and associates feel the impact as performance, relationships, and quality of living deteriorate. Friends and neighbors may be drawn into the downward spiral.

Alcoholism, though progressive, is a treatable disease.

Al-Anon's sole purpose is to help family members and friends who are affected by someone else's drinking. There are no dues or fees. Millions of people are finding help through more than 33,000 Al-Anon groups worldwide.

Health care providers, social workers, religious leaders, teachers, lawyers, judicial officials, employers, and others see families every day that are hurting from this disease. Al-Anon cooperates with all those seeking to help the family recover.
