Q. How much are the referees paid?
A. All of the referees are volunteers and most of them have children who also play in the region. They pay to have their children play just like everyone else.

Q. How can I become a referee?
A. It is very simple. The Region offers referee training at the beginning of the Fall and Spring seasons. Just sign up at registration and one of our volunteers will contact you.

Q. If I become a referee, will I still be able to watch my kids games?
A. Yes. You have control over your referee schedule, and you will not be asked to referee a game when your child is playing.

Q. How many games will I have to referee each week?
A. AYSO is a volunteer organization. Some individuals referee one or two games each week. If you cannot referee a game on a given weekend, that is okay.

Q. Do I pay for the uniform and equipment?
A. No. The Region will provide you with the necessary uniform and equipment (i.e., flags, cards, etc). All you have to provide is a watch and black shoes that are appropriate for running on the field.
