The following Club Rules and Regulations are in effect for the convenience, safety, comfort and enjoyment of Club members. The Board of Directors may amend these rules at any time, as needed. Unless otherwise indicated in these rules and regulations, member(s) means those with swimming privileges.
1. HOURS OF OPERATION
a. Normal pool hours will be from 11 am to 9 pm daily, unless otherwise posted at the pool. These times may be altered to accommodate school schedules, private parties, or other scheduled BCC activities.
b. If a private party is scheduled in the evening, the Club facilities will close at 8 PM that evening to everyone except members of the private party.
c. A 10-minute rest period will be observed every hour (except for private nighttime parties) beginning 10 minutes before the hour. During this period, no swimmer under 18 years of age will be permitted in the pool. This will provide the lifeguards an opportunity to check the pool system and adults the opportunity to enjoy undisturbed time in the pool.
2. LIFEGUARDS
Qualified Club lifeguards will be on duty at all times the facility is open. No lifeguard will be provided for the wading pool. Therefore, no child will be permitted in the wading pool unless properly supervised by a parent or guardian. The wading pool is limited to six-year-olds and under.
3. FOOD, DRINK, SMOKING, AND CONDUCT
a. No glass containers of any kind are permitted in the pool area. Drinks in unbreakable containers are permitted in the pool area.
b. Members and guests are encouraged to use the pavilion area provided when they eat; however food is permitted on the pool deck provided members and guests clean up after themselves.
c. All members and guests are responsible for placing their own trash and recycling in receptacles provided.
d. No horseplay, running, or other unsafe conduct will be allowed.
e. No abuse of Club facilities will be tolerated.
f. No chewing gum is allowed in the pool.
g. Conduct disrespectful to the lifeguards will not be allowed.
h. Smoking is not permitted within the fenced area of the club.
4. DISCIPLINE
The lifeguards are authorized by the Board to restrict activities or expel any person in violation of these Rules.
5. DRESS, ATTENDANCE, AND TOYS
a. Swimmers will be required to wear swimsuits.
b. No cut-off jeans are allowed.
c. All children must be at least 10 years of age to use the pool facilities without supervision by a parent or guardian. Member children 8 or 9 years of age may be allowed to use pool facilities without parent or guardian supervision if they pass the BCC swimming proficiency tests.
