All activities are kid friendly. Free food, water activities, story telling, face painting and more, plus added attraction DJ Slymm. July 11, 2008 The Tennessee Smokies pay tribute to legendary African American Knoxville Smokies player Jim Tugerson. July14-18, 2008 The 14th Annual Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry held at the children’s defense Fund Haley Farm Clinton, Tennessee August 6-8, 2008 Beck Center’s Black Movie Classic Series. Show times- August 6,-12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., August 7-8 -6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. August 16, 2008 Booker at the Beck –Indoor Picnic with entertainment by local historian & occasional D. J. Bob Booker. Come dressed for an air conditioned old fashioned picnic in our recently renovated location at 1927 Dandridge Avenue. Spend some time with Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam as you enjoy down home food and down home music. Limited seating ,$60 per person.
