About Us CHARACTER COUNTS! is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian coalition. We are the nation's most widely used character-development framework, adopted by schools as well as youth, sports and civic organizations. Our local chapter is part of a national grassroots initiative that has no ideological or political agenda other than strengthening the moral fiber of the next generation by promoting consensus ethical values. We promote and support the development of the personal and organizational integration of the Six Pillars of Character throughout the community.
