Neighborhood Association Meeting

Budget as of March 2004 is $473.99.

Sixteen people attended the meeting representing Crest Forest Road, Sky Blue Drive, Hidden Valley Road, Owl Hollow Road and Camero Lane.

The web site for the association is now up and running. Go to www.cfhv.org . Tom Salter is our Webmaster.

There were several motions discussed and passed including a traffic study, dues, updating the neighborhood directory, garage sale and a welcome committee.

There will be a report on the traffic study at the April 24th meeting.

The motion was made and passed that the amount of the dues will remain at $10.00 per household.

The dues will be collected on April 10th and fliers will be passed out in the subdivisions.

The volunteers to help with the fliers and collect the dues are Margaret San Miguel (Camero Lane), Charlie Johnson (Crest Forest Rd), Pete & Marjorie Cardwell and Clarence & Mary Smith (Sky Blue Dr), James May (Owl Hollow) and Odes Scates (Hidden Valley).

Patsy Nimri and Margaret San Miguel have volunteered to update the neighborhood directory.

The neighborhood garage sale will be held on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st. There will be an ad put in the newspaper (including the web site) and signs will be placed at both entrances to the subdivisions.

The Welcome Committee has several volunteers including the Cardwell’s, the Smith’a and Patsy Nimri.

There were several items that were discussed and there will be a follow-up on such as a newsletter, beautification committee and block party.

There will be an inquiry made to the Knox County Codes Department concerning the appearance of a dwelling in a subdivision.

Patsy Nimri and Dianne Briscoe will check on the cost of mowing both entrances to the subdivisions and give a report at the April 24th meeting.

One of the items discussed was common courtesy when walking your pets. There have been cases where bushes and shrubbery have been damaged and sometimes killed.

The next meeting will be at the home of Clarence and Mary Smith on April 24th at 10:00AM. Clarence and Mary live at 1008 Sky Blue Drive.

A motion was made and passed to get a speaker from Rural Metro to speak at the next meeting. Rural Metro will offer homeowners in the subdivisions a reduction in rates if a certain percentage of residence are interested.
