The County Health Improvement Council supports a number of community projects designed to fill the gaps in available health services. The Council has identified the following 10 health issues as priorities:

1. Health Education
2. Teen Pregnancy
3. Prenatal Care
4. Cancer
5. Substance Abuse
6. Safety (seat belts, child seats)
7. Senior Issues
8. Specialty Care
9. Physician Care
10. Dental Care

The Health Council has recently formed a subcommittee to work on the Teen Pregnancy issue.
