Generally speaking, if you do
not already have an email account, I suggest that anyone wanting to set
up a website for their nonprofit organization first apply for a personal
email account. This makes it much easier to exchange information with KORRnet.
You can get your own account using the modem on your computer to dial up
the KORRnet access number:
521-5638
If you don't know how to make your computer
dial up the KORRnet computer, click here
for some instructions on using HyperTerminal.
HyperTerminal is a program that comes with Windows 95 / 98.
If you prefer, you can download a program
that will set up and configure HyperTerminal for you automatically. Click
here to go to the download page.
Nonprofit organizations in East Tennessee
(including community groups, social service agencies, governmental offices,
churches, and schools) may obtain an account with KORRnet at no charge.
A KORRnet account includes server space for the homepage files as well
as an Internet e-mail address. To obtain an account for a nonprofit organization,
