March 13, 2008 Meeting Minutes

Polar Bear Weekend 3/28-30^th Tellico Area

· There will be flat water and white water options as well as plenty of hiking, biking and relaxing

· Dinner for the group will be provided on Saturday night as well as breakfast Saturday and Sunday monrnings

· Two cabins are rented check them out www.telliquahfalls.com creekside melodies and dixie dreamin’

· Don’t forget this event is BYOB

May Go Festival

· This year it will be held at the worlds fair park

· Volunteers will be needed to do 1-2 hour shifts in the booth

· Discussed the possibility of doing demo’s in the pond.

News Letter

· Tish Benton is heading up the news letter she asked for ideas and photos for articles

Roll Practice

· The School for the Deaf every other Friday next session is 3/28

· So far the roll practice has been a huge success with a lot of people taking advantage of the opportunity

· There was discussion of possible future water polo matches during the sessions if there are enough people interested at the roll practice..

Canoe and kayak school

· Instructors are needed please volunteer as soon as possible.
