Kentucky Lake Overnighter A self contained back country sea kayaking trip. March 26-28. Three days two nights on Kentucky Lake. We will camp on the beaches on Land Between the Lakes. A back country permit is required, $5 per person. We will depart Knoxville early on Friday March 26 and return on Sunday evening March 28. Each boater will be responsible for their own camping gear, food and transportation. This lake is very large and may have rough water conditions if the weather is bad. Boaters need to have touring kayaks with proper self rescue gear including spray skirt and pump. Paddling distances each day will depend on weather conditions and the group makeup. Weather could vary from cold, snow and rain to warm and sunny. The water temperature will probably be only in the 50's. Please have proper cold weather paddling clothing.
