BOBCAT BAND

 

 

 

Excerpts from Bobcat Band history:                   The CHS fight song, Red and Black, was composed by

                                                                                           O'Dell Willis.  It was written in the late 1930's

CHS Alma Mater     Red and Black                        soon after Mr. Willis came to Central in 1937.

Red and Black was rearranged in 1971 and again in the 1970's.

The version that is performed today is the late 1970's version.                                                      

 

 

For the 1961-1962 school year, Central High School Band

was led by its first female drum major.....  Beverly Towry Hundley!

1948-1949 officers modeling the new uniforms

bought in 1948.  The drum major is Colbert Petree,

long-time Northwest Middle School band director.
