NEW!!
Check out the great article in the Halls Shopper about the band!
Students must be in the band room by 5:30 P.M. Friday afternoon to prepare for our first football game against Webb. Students will get their T-shirts at 5:30 P.M. so they might wear them at the game. The rest of the uniform is : Black shorts or pants with tennis shoes and white socks. Band shoes and black socks are not necessary for our "Hot Weather" uniform. Students will need to bring flip folders and lyres to the game as well so that we can use these for stands tunes.
We still need about 5 more volunteers for Friday night's game. A couple of them only need to work about 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. passing out seat cushions. If you can do this DO NOT sign up on Charms to volunteer. Call me at 256-6764.Jeff Heatherly
Just a happy reminder that band fees must be paid! They are $225.00. Please make your checks out to Central High School. Right now we have less than 10% that have even made some sort of payment on this. Also, forms must be turned in. We need the Fee Agreement form, medical form, and field trip permission. Students CANNOT go to away football games without the permission slip and medical form! The first away football game is August 28th.

Dear Band Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Burden to be the Central High School Band Director and Brandon Arnwine to be the Assistant Band Director. Both Lisa and Brandon bring to Central a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Lisa comes to Central from Gresham Middle after serving as both Assistant Director and Head Band Director for the past four years. Moreover, Lisa served as Assistant Band Director at Central High School in 2005-2007. Ms. Burden attended Tennessee Tech and has extensive musical knowledge.
Complimenting Ms. Burden with his extensive knowledge of percussion is Brandon Arnwine. Brandon comes to us from the University of Tennessee. During his time at the University, Brandon worked throughout the Knox County School System with various Band Directors, Most recently, Brandon has been the Band Director at Union Grove Middle School and Assistant Band Director at William Blount High School.
Please join the administrative team in welcoming Lisa and Brandon to our Central Bobcat Family. We are sure it will be an exciting and successful year.
Sincerely,
Danny N. Trent
Central High Principal
