Who We Are
DiscoverET.org (formerly KORRnet) is a non-profit community network and regional web portal that connects people and resources in East Tennessee. Formed in 1986, DiscoverET.org provides Internet and online access for community groups, non-profit organizations, schools and civic organizations, and government to promote civic participation and community involvement through the sharing of information.
DiscoverET.org is the only independent, non-profit web portal available to organizations throughout East Tennessee -- and currently hosts websites for over 260 non-profit organizations in the 16-county region.
DiscoverET.org provides the Internet access, web space and training that enables community groups to develop and maintain interesting and informative websites.
DiscoverET.org also maintains the web portal with valuable community services, calendars, directories and information that promotes the site and the region.
DiscoverET.org provides outreach and training as resources permit, for participants at all income and literacy levels, with a focus on those not currently being served.
In partnership with The University of Tennessee, ORNL and others, DiscoverET.org generates income through membership dues, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and fees from classes and seminars.
