Dear Community Partners,

I attended the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s (THDA) workshop on the HOME application on January 26, 2012. Due to proposed new program rules that are going to be issued by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, THDA is suspending the HOME application deadline until further notice. It is anticipated that the HOME application process will begin sometime during the early fall of 2012. A member of the ETDD staff will contact you at that time should your community be interested in submitting a HOME grant application.

Regards,

Terry Bobrowski
Executive Director
East Tennessee Development District

Dear Colleagues,

Just a reminder that the statutory meeting requirements for all Joint Economic and Community Development Boards (JECDB) must be met on an annual basis in order for city and county jurisdictions to remain eligible for many of the grants that are offered by the State of Tennessee. The JECDB meeting requirements are as follows:

JECDB Executive Committee must meet at least one (1) time each quarter for a total of four (4) meetings per year.
JECDB Board of Directors must meet at least four (4) times per year. No specific meeting schedule is required.

Of course, quorum requirements must be met for each meeting and certified meeting minutes must be maintained.

Regards,

Terry Bobrowski
East Tennessee Development District
