 ETEA and Professional Development

The East Tennessee Education Association (ETEA) was created to support professional development activities for educators.  From modest beginnings 106  years ago, ETEA has grown tremendously and now conducts several major conferences each year for the purpose of bringing together practicing educators and those who support education.

ETEA is dedicated to providing quality in-service, training, and professional development for teachers and administrators.  The Winter and Spring Conferences are designed to showcase teachers who are using innovative and research-based classroom strategies and are bringing technology and active participation into the curriculum.  We are proud to recognize the talent of our own members!

W E L C O M E

ETEA is dedicated to disseminating the best academic practices through professional development programs and through addressing issues of delivery and instruction.  The 2010 ETEA Winter and Spring Conferences are designed to showcase classroom strategies and are also designed to showcase how to bring active participation into the curriculum.  We are proud to bring these workshops to "upper" and "lower" East Tennessee and to instructors in all East Tennessee schools.
