Each year the 4H Horse Project members undertake a project as a means of giving back to the community. Under the leadership of Ronnie Asher, the group has chosen to participate in the Children's Hospital Festival of Trees. The festival is a major fund raiser for the hospital. Trees are decorated by designers, youth groups, individuals and offered for sale to the public. In addition to trees (of a variety of sizes), gingerbread houses, mailbox covers, and many other Christmas items are available. All monies made by the festival are used by the hospital to insure that the best care is given to the children that come to the hospital.
