Donations
We appreciate any donation that you can make to our center. You can make a donation in three ways:
- Money for programs and services
- Hardware and Computers - used for loaners
- Time - for adapting toys and helping with projects
We can provide written receipt of donated items for your tax deduction.
Money
Donations of money are used to provide services to people who have
no funding, such as the many people in East Tennessee who have Lou
Gehrig's Disease, are elderly, minority, live in inner-city or rural
areas, have young children, or who live in nursing homes.
Funds are also used to repair and adapt devices, including toys,
computers, and communication devices.
ETTAC is a designated 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS, and all
donations of money, time, or equipment are tax deductible.
Each year, ETTAC staff work with several hundred people who have no
funds to pay for services.
We appreciate any donation that you can make to our center. All contributions are tax-deductible.

Invoices are payable by check only.
Hardware and Computers
We accept donated computers, modems, software programs, scanners, and augmentative communication devices or other assistive technology devices. Computers are needed to loan to people with disabilities in East Tennessee who cannot afford to purchase them. These computers are used for language development, to teach young people with disabilities math and reading, and for job preparation and training. Due to the ever increasing complexity of assistive technology programs, our minimum requirements for donated computers are "working" computers with a processor speed of a 500 Mhz or better.
All donated equipment need to be working, since we do not have the funds to pay recycling costs.
Time
Your contributions are very important to us, but the most valuable contribution of all is your time. You may find our fundraising events or any of our special projects of particular interest to you. Or perhaps, you may have some ideas of your own that may be of great interest to us. If you are interested in having the experience of working with persons with disabilities, contact us. We'll be glad to have your input and assistance.
