Through funding from the Tennessee Technology Access Project, Knox County
Government, and partnership with other agencies such as the National Cristina
Foundation, United Way, and the CHIPS project, ETTAC is providing an assistive
technology equipment recycling program to residents in 24 counties of East
Tennessee who have disabilities, or who have family members with disabilities. How it WorksETTAC will serve as the intermediary between an individual or agency who
has equipment to donate to ETTAC and the individual who might benefit from
its use. Since ETTAC is a designated 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS,
donations may be tax deductible.
Any individual or agency who has a piece of assistive technology to donate to
the recycling program should email a digital picture of the equipment, along
with a contact name, mailing and email addresses, and phone number to:
etstactn@aol.com WarrantiesEquipment that is placed in the recycling program will not be covered under any warranties or guarantees other than those that might have come with the original product (for example, a new product that is still under warranty). In most cases, the individual receiving the equipment will need to arrange for pick-up and/or delivery. Equipment must be in good working order.
