Our Mission

The Mission of the East Tennessee Technology Access Center is to enable people with disabilities in East Tennessee to reach their potential for functioning in the mainstream of society through innovative uses of technology.

ETTAC's History

ETTAC was started in 1988 by a group of parents, adults with disabilities, business people and service providers in the community who held an uncommon belief in the power of technology to help people with disabilities reach their goals.  Since 1988, ETTAC has provided a wide range of assistive technology services to thousands of people with disabilities, teachers, therapists, other service providers, and area businesses. ETTAC works with people with disabilities of all ages and all types of disabilities, and no one is denied services based on ability to pay, age, type of disability, race, religion, or sex.
