Toy Tech - 2003 Event
On Monday, December 8 children with disabilities from across East
Tennessee and their families and friends gathered at ETTAC for our
annual toy adaptation holiday party. Fifty switches were made and
given out, and over 130 toys were donated by Junior League and
individuals. These toys were adapted by volunteers, including Tim
Rivera, Kevin London, Bill Banks, and Karen Earith. Also
volunteering for this event was Clifford Cooke (our Santa),
retired UPS driver and Shriner.
Junior League
volunteers and Barbara Blanton provided crafts, ETTAC Board Member
Tina Alston and dog Billy had story time for the children, and many
children volunteered their time as elves and helpers at this
party. Toys left over from the party are placed in the toy
library and are available for loan throughout the year.
