This very generous family decided to celebrate Hannah's 2nd birthday and help ETTAC at the same time.  Hannah's birthday invitation requested guests to purchase battery operated toys or gift cards that the family would donate to the "East Tennessee Technology Access Center where they will be adapted for use by a disabled child and distributed at their 2005 Christmas Party in December."

We met Hannah through a TEIS evaluation and the family attended last year's Toy Tech party.  Hannah and her family had so much fun they wanted to recreate it for Hannah's birthday party.  They even invited Santa Claus to the party, and though he was not available on the seventh, he did visit Hannah at her home a few weeks later to wish her a happy birthday!

The Kings expressed wanting to help others because they have been blessed and want to help others less fortunate.  This is a truly caring statement from a family who spends much of their time at the hospital with Hannah's many medical needs. Even when Hannah is well, she has a very busy therapy schedule.  She also requires suctioning every few minutes to keep her airways clear.

We at ETTAC want to thank the King family for their generosity. It is wonderful to work with such a caring family and a sweet girl like Hannah.
