Vision Resources
The Vision Resource Technology Center is a place to
find out what works! It's the only place in East Tennessee where people
with visual impairments may come to examine, try out, train on, and use
equipment.
Our unique and extensive hands-on learning library includes:
- A variety of magnification software such as Zoomtext and Magic
- Document readers like Kurzweil
- Personal data assistants and note-taking devices
- Screen readers and speech synthesizers that give access to computers
- Hand-held magnifiers
- Information about accessible print materials, including books
- CCTV units that magnify up to 60 times
- Computers with different sized monitors
- Brailling services
- Adaptive daily living devices such as, writing guides, talking clocks, adapted kitchen tools, taking calculator, labeling devices (like Voila and Can-Do Recorder)
