Family Ministry
In the Baptist tradition, all of God’s people are ministers. Our three vocational pastors are called to equip the people of God in Christian service. Each pastor has entered the vocational ministry by the calling of God and has been ordained to the Gospel ministry. Although each pastor has an area of focus and special training, all of our pastors minister to the whole congregation.

                            Family Life Ministry

Our Family Life Ministry includes people of all ages, single and married. The Family Life Ministry plans activities that strengthen and nurture the bonds of fellowship and community through missions, fellowship, and Christian growth activities. Our Family Night at Christmas brings our children together in celebration of the birth of Christ, and the annual Make a Difference Day brings together folks of all ages to clean the fall leaves from the lawns of some of our physically limited people. Our Family Pastor is fully devoted to ministry to the needs of young families including youth, children, and parents.
                                   Children’s Ministry

As Baptists, we believe that commitment of faith in Christ must be personal and meaningful in the faith of the individual. As children mature in their worship of God and understanding of the saving grace of God in Christ, they grow naturally toward commitment of faith, baptism, and church membership during late elementary and early teen years. We deliberately avoid tactics of pressure evangelism and the use of fear and guilt with small children. We believe that the love of God renders the use of fear or guilt unnecessary in faith development. Our children’s ministry activities, including occasional Pastor’s Classes, are directed toward the natural development of new Christians and preparation for the discipleship focus of the Youth Ministry.
                                      Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry is committed to developing Christians through Christian friendship, Bible study, worship, values clarification, faith sharing, doing missions and personal spiritual growth. We provide teenagers a safe, fun, open, and caring Christian environment where they can begin their personal journey of learning about life, relationships, God, and themselves. Programs designed to meet these goals are youth choir, Sunday school, faith introduction classes, retreats, worship, discipleship studies and recreational outings. A highlight of our youth ministry is an annual summer venture in travel to Passport Youth Camp and missions involvement in communities away from home.

                                  Recreation Ministry

Christians need to play as well as to pray. We believe that God has a sense of humor and an enjoyment of his children and that we ought to enjoy being the church. Fellowship and recreational activities are available for adults as well as children to build the physical along with the spiritual sides of our lives.
Softball and basketball teams serve to build friendship and bonds of support and caring for folks who enjoy athletic competition. Recreational ministries are also an entry point where new members are brought into the church and where people are introduced to Christ through the witness of Christian example.
