    Goal:
The Junior Academy teaches foundational skills in a fun and positive environment. There are two critical elements for this age group. The first is skill development. Players learn ball skills and creativity through guided discovery.

The second critical element for this age group is developing a love of the game. The environment seeks to teach skills, encourage creativity, and foster a lifelong love of the game.

    Coaching:
The Junior Academy is coached by an individual with the ability to utilize the most progressive coaching methods in the world for junior players. The coach fosters a fun and dynamic environment for players to develop skills to compete at a competitive level.

Paid assistants as well as qualified volunteer coaches assist the local academy director.

    Location:
Junior Academies are located at select elementary schools. Practice is held after school once a week. For players who do not attend selected elementary schools, there is an evening junior academy one day a week at designated fields. Practice sessions are 75 minutes long.

    Games:
All Junior Academy players play games on Friday evenings at designated fields. Games are informal. For players in Kindergarten and first grade, play is typically 3 v 3; for players in second and third grade play is typically 4 v 4. No goal keepers are used in the academy.

Games are held at a central location. i.e. Whitetop Creek Park or Henley

Coaches have the option to pool a team of players at the Junior Academy level to compete in friendly games against other clubs.
