Minutes of Fox Run Homeowners’ Association Board Meeting, August 20, 2007

Meeting began at 7:30 PM with Rod Langman, Mike Ryon, Nancy Wentz, Ivy Lalonde, Scott Gibson, and John Larese in attendance.

1. National Night Out. The event went wonderfully, with lots of neighborhood participation, and visits by Highway Patrol, Rural Metro, and Knox County Sheriff’s department (including helicopter landing on sports field). The Board wishes to especially thank all the many volutneers, including Ivy, Nancy, John, and Leslie Ryon for their help putting this together. Also we would like to thank Leroy Simms for providing chairs, tables, PA system, and entertainment.

2. Clubhouse update. After some discussions, it was decided that we need to eliminate possible sites and continue dialog with Town of Farragut to determine site options. Leroy also provided data on other local establishments to give us a reference guide for size and meeting space needs. Scott volunteered to compile list of what we need from a civil engineering firm.

3. Dues and Finances. Eleven residents still owe dues. A second email was sent August 7 and late fees are being charged.

4. Facilities and Landscape. The modification of Fiser’s old commercial sign at front of subdivision was made by Rob Wentz and a nice community information board was installed. However, it was also learned that this effort did not meet existing Town of Farragut sign ordinances in terms of design, size or location. They have a very specific and rigid policy which requires pre-approvals and a permit. It was decided to remove sign and evaluate whether we want to go through permit procedure. Mike met with a resident who is looking for an Eagle Scout project. Several options were discussed including working on the north walking trail. The scout will meet with troop leader to see if this project would be suitable. Albright Painters was lined up to paint boulevard lights.

5. Architectural Reviews. Scott reviewed one retaining wall/landscape design.

6. Covenants. Covenant violations were discussed including trailers in driveways, uncovered AC/Heating units, illegal fence designs, landscape/erosion issues, and debris on empty lots. Some of the outstanding violations have been corrected and Rod will contact those remaining in violation. Rod, Scott, and Mike met with Town of Farragut engineers regarding drainage issues at top of subdivision. If you know of additional violations, send to Jack or Rod, who are tracking each one.

7. Social. Nancy will spearhead the Fall Festival in October. The event will include games, cooking, and volunteers will be requested.

The meeting adjourned at 9 PM.
