| April 2009 Board Meeting Minutes |
The Fox Run Homeowners' Association Board met at 7:15 PM on April 1, 2009. Attending were Nancy Wentz, Scott Gibson, Jack Hampson, Mike Ryon, Karen Tunstall, Rod Langman, and John Larese.
1. Architectural Reviews: Scott reviewed 2 fence designs and 2 sunroom designs. One house design needs to be submitted. Scott will work with Karen to transition this responsibility to her.
2. Covenants: Letters or phone calls were made regarding several covenant violations. Currently, there are 3 trailers and 3 uncovered utilities that need to be addressed. A pet issue involving dogs leaving the yard and threatening neighbors and pets will also be addressed
3. Facilities:
Tennis Court Lights: The lights are being installed as well as a wind/light screen. The lights will have a timer control and will not be operational after 10 PM.
Swimming Pools: New federal safety regulations may require some changes in the pool filtration system. John is getting some estimates on making these changes. The spring cleaning of the pools will begin in April with an expected opening in early May.
Vagrant parking and loitering in pool parking lot: Some kids have been hanging out at night in the lot. We will continue to monitor and discourage this presence. Overall vandalism has dropped in the neighborhood.
4. Grounds: A spring clean up of the streams and common area was scheduled for April 4, 2009. Small sinkholes are appearing in the drainage ditch adjacent to the sports field. We will attempt to fill with gravel or drain guards. We may also investigate leveling the fields, since they will not be impacted by any clubhouse development. Two trees will be removed from the front entrance as they block the view of oncoming traffic on Union Road. Calls will be made to our lawn service to replace dead grass in the boulevard medians.
5. Clubhouse: No changes in the status of clubhouse project.
6. Speeding: A few residents have offered to resume the evaluation of speed humps, so a committee will be created. Also hiring off duty police to enforce speeding, parking, and other traffic issues will be done
7. Finances: Nancy presented our finances. Only three resident properties have not paid their 2008 dues, but they went to bankruptcy. We have about $227,000 in our accounts.
8. Social. Nancy is planning annual schools out party in May. The annual Homeowners meeting will be held in late May at which time, board members will be elected, by-law changes will be enacted, and a state of the neighborhood will be provided. Details will be forthcoming. If you are interested in serving on the board, please contact a board member or reply to Foxrunnews.
The next regular meeting will be in early May and we adjourned at 9 30 PM.
