Before coming to Gloria Dei in July of 2001, Pastor Larry served the Greater Milwaukee Synod in Wisconsin. Besides serving twenty years as a parish pastor he did ministry as a Spiritual Director, a Hospice Chaplain, and an intentional interim pastor for the synod.

Pastor Larry describes himself as one who loves Jesus, as one who is still growing in his own discipleship and as one who is more excited about the ministry than any other time in his life. Pastor Larry is warm and open and has a wonderful way of bringing the everyday struggles of living in the 21st century into the light of the Bible. You won’t have to be around him long to discover that he has a good sense of humor!

Pastor Larry and his wife Chris are very happy to be in Knoxville, and find the people of Gloria Dei to be a delight.
