About DiscoverET.org

DiscoverET.org is the nonprofit community network and regional Web portal that connects people and resources in East Tennessee. Our mission is to use the Internet and related technologies to promote dialogue and community in the region. To fulfill this mission, DiscoverET.org:

  • Operates www.DiscoverET.org -- the only independent, non-profit Web portal to Web-based resources throughout the 16-county region of East Tennessee.
  • Hosts web sites and other Internet-related services for more than 260+ non-profit organizations in the 16 counties.
  • Promotes democratic access to information technlogy. We support the CHIPS program -- Computers for Homebound & Isolated Persons -- to lessen the social isolation of homebound persons.

DiscoverET.org was formerly known as KORRnet -- the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Regional Network, which remains the legal name. See links to the left for details about the DiscoverET.org Web portal and organization.
