THE WALKING TOUR OF GHOSTLY
KNOXVILLE
October 22nd through 26th and the 29th and 30th
Come and join the spirits for
a tour of Downtown Knoxville’s scariest landmarks. The tours which
last approximately one and a quarter hour each will visit the sites of
some of Knoxville’s best kept
secrets. Included are the legend of Knoxville’s own Frankenstein,
the hanging death of Abner Baker, and the story of a ghostly swing set.
This years tour will cover the old part of downtown Knoxville and will
be about one mile in length. All tours began and end at James White’s
Fort located at the intersection of Hill Avenue and Hall of Fame Drive.
Ample free parking is available for tour participants at the Fort. Tours
are given on October
22nd through 26th and the 29th and 30th. Tours will depart at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Each
tour will end with a marshmallow roast around the fires at the Fort.
Admission for Adults 13 and over will be $8.00 and $6.00 for children
ages 5 – 12. Reservations are requested for large groups of 12 or more
and may be made by calling the Fort at 525–6514.
