Greg McGinnis: Greg, a member for nine years, continues to be a stalwart and dedicated worker, both in the Knights of Columbus and in the Holy Ghost parish. He is also serving our council as Deputy Grand Knight, and did an excellent job in leading the business meeting during my absence in August. In addition to overseeing each Holy Ghost Breakfast, he helps Father Mankel with any special projects that may arise. Greg has on several occasions, including most recently in November, coordinated cleanup and repair efforts at the former Convent across Hinton Avenue from Holy Ghost Church. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do, Greg!

October 2004

Malcolm Wells, Sr.:Malcolm has been the most active recruiter of new members for our council for some time now. He can also be counted on to participate in just about every activity that the council puts on. Malcolm is a key worker at the IC Breakfasts, and had been maintaining the new carpet in the IC Basement, before departing for a six month vacation to the Philippines. He proudly wears his K of C nametag to Mass at IC, and also provided tremendous assistance at the Fourth Degree Dinner that our Council hosted in October. Malcolm, we wmiss you. Hurry Back!

He is the Membership Retention Chairman and has been the primary coordinator of our efforts to look into renting or buying the Parent Place Home on Magnolia Avenue. This fall Bert also directed efforts on two different days to clean up and remove amazing amounts of plant and shrub overgrowth from the home located on the site of the future Catholic Church in Halls. Thanks, Bert!

August 2004

Robert "Bob" Tate: Though only a member of the Knights of Columbus since June 2004, Bob helped plan and worked hard at the dinner that our Council hosted at John XXIII at the request of Father Eric Andrews. We had a great turnout of workers and made a nice impression on the Catholic students at the University of Tennesee thanks to Bob. He has also agreed to be our Council's Family Director and Squires Director. In addition to all of that, Bob has promised to bring in two to four more Knights this year. Thanks, Bob, for doing so much in your first month! Keep it up, for the good of the Order.

July 2004

John Swindeman: I could not have accomplished any of the work that has been done for our Council during these past two months if it were not for the support and assistance of our Worthy Financial Secretary, John Swindeman. As anyone who attends our meetings knows, John is on top of all Council business, submits all of the required forms in a timely fashion, and provides any information requested of him as soon as possible. Many of you are aware that John is also the promoter and planner of the upcoming Blue Mass. Thanks, John, for all that you have done for me, our Council, and the Order.
