In addition, research is being conducted by the University of Tennessee Howard H. Baker Center for Public Policy. The first research project involves the functions and structure of governments in Knox County. This information will be available prior to the May meetings. The second research project focuses on the best practices around the country in local government. Both the results of the public input in May and the research will be summarized for a full reaction by the public at a meeting in late August 2007.
