Today was Annie Morton's last day.  She got a new job as an educator at a nature center near Cincinnati.  We will miss her and wish her the best!  Annie worked with the Youth Advisory Board, managed the I Spy on Litter and Talking Tree programs, and many other projects.

Major funding cut for KKB.
Keep Knoxville Beautiful learned today that a major operating grant will be reduced approximately $20,000 from the 2002-2003 FY.  In FY 2003-2004 the grant included a bonus amount that was used primarily to promote the Don't Throw Down on K-TOWN campaign.  Some budget cuts and additional fundraising will be used to make up the difference.  On a lighter note, KKB board member Martha Dooley was honored for her service as board president last year.  Here is current president, Page Pratt-Greene presenting a certificate of appreciation to Martha.
