2008 Great American Cleanup™ Don't Trash Your
Cash, Recycle Poster Contest
Keep Knoxville Beautiful will sponsor a poster
contest for children grades K-12 as part of the 2008 Great American CleanupTM.
Posters must communicate the theme: "Don't Trash Your Cash, Recycle". The contest is
open to all Knox County public and private school students. and will be
divided into 3 age based categories of K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 grades. Posters are
due at the Keep Knoxville Beautiful office by 4:30 on Friday, April 13th, 2007.
Schools may submit a maximum of three entries for each grade. If there are
multiple entries for a grade, the school must select three finalists for each
grade. All school finalists will be displayed at the Keep Knoxville
Beautiful EarthFest tent at Pellissippi State Main Campus on Saturday, April 26, 2008.
The public will vote for their favorite posters and the winners will be honored
at the annual Trash Bash volunteer appreciation luncheon TBA,
Calhoun's on the River.

Eligibility:
Any Knox County public, private or home-schooled school student within the appropriate age
ranges.
Theme:
"Don't Trash Your Cash, Recycle"
Size and Labeling:
Posters should be 14" x 22" (half of a regular poster board). The
following information should be on the back of the poster: student name, grade,
school name, teacher’s name, and the name and phone number of a parent or
guardian to notify in the event the poster is a winner.
Due Date:
Posters must be received at Keep Knoxville Beautiful before 4:30 pm on April 11th. Our offices
are located at 100 S. Gay Street, Suite 103.
Judging:
At this time we plan to display ALL entries at the Keep Knoxville Beautiful booth at EarthFest at
Pellissippi State Main Campus
on April 26, 2008. The
public will be invited to vote on their favorite posters from within each
category. There will be one winners selected for each grade.
Awards Ceremony & Prizes:
Awards will be presented at the annual Trash Bash Volunteer Appreciation
Luncheon, TBA at Calhoun's on the River.
Poster Ownership:
All posters submitted for judging become the property of Keep Knoxville
Beautiful and will not be returned. Keep Knoxville Beautiful may use the posters
in litter-prevention promotions. In the past we have made arrangements for
owners to pick up their posters.
