Christmas Tree-Cycling -
December 26, 2008 through January 3, 2009
When Christmas is
over and the tree comes down what do you do with it? Leave it out
for the garbage truck to be hauled off to take up space in the landfill?
You don't have to do that any more. You can drop off your tree at one of
four convenient locations between December 26, 2008 and Saturday,
January 3, 2009 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The drop-off locations are
the Halls Convenience Center, Forks of the River Convenience Center, and Solway
Greenwaste Facility. Trees will be chipped at
Halls and Solway on Saturday, January 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can take mulch home for free that day. Mark your
calendar now for Saturday, January 3, 2009.
Drop-Off Dates and Times
Important: There is NO fee to drop off a tree between December 26, 2008
and January 3, 2009. At other times there is a nominal fee to drop off
yard waste - logs, stumps, branches, brush, clippings, etc.

Our Goal
Our goal is to recycle 2,000 trees. We will need
your help to do that. Last year we had about 1,000 trees brought to the
drop off sites.
Tree-Cycling Sponsors
We want to thank the following businesses, organizations and agencies for making
this event possible: Keep
