KMS at a Glance
Mission Statement: We aim to help our students to become healthy, self-confident, aware individuals who are excited by learning and have a great thirst for knowledge by introducing dynamic learning experiences according to Montessori principles. The Result: The Children become life long scholars and responsible citizens of their community. Emphasis: Small classes with low student-teacher ratios, inspired Montessori-trained teachers, and classrooms designed with the child in mind, make KMS a true 'Children's House'. Additionally: We offer a weekly music program, as well as after-school Spanish lessons. In the interest of comparison: The TCAP standardized achievement test is given annually to all elementary students. Facility: Housed in a lovely turn of the century Tudor-style home KMS has a large protected and well-equipped outdoor area enables children to play and work on large motor skill development. Students also help to cultivate gardens adjacent to the playground. Availability KMS has flexible hours depending on the age and needs of the child. A full-time or a part-time program is available for Primary pre-school children. Minimum enrollment is correlated to the age of the child.

Please note: Half day students are dismissed before the scheduled lunch hour. An extended hours program is available from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Costs depend on the program and hours you choose for your child. A schedule of fee options is available upon request. KMS counts on the support of its parents, with each family volunteering at least 10 hours per year. KMS values diversity |
