Knoxville Montessori School provides
pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and elementary education up to the 5th grade. We currently have:

• two Primary (pre-kindergarten) classes capped at 12 students each;
• one Upper Primary (kindergarten) class capped at 15 students;
• two multi-age Elementary classes (grades 1-5)

Each class offers a stimulating, carefully planned environment for learning. Students in each class are free to work individually or in small groups, directed by a Montessori-certified teacher and an assistant. The materials used are designed to provide a wide variety of experiences geared to the developmental needs of each child.

At the primary (pre-kindergarten) level at KMS, much of the learning happens as a natural part of play. At the upper primary (kindergarten) and elementary levels, the learning becomes more structured.  At each level, one-on-one instruction allows the curriculum to be individualized for each student.
