is 1.4 tons of garbage per year.

The cities and county create 170 million pounds of house hold
garbage and waste water sludge each year.

An additional 31 million pounds of demolition waste and yard
waste are disposed of at our Demolition Landfill each year.

All of the household garbage is known as Class I refuse. All
construction and demolition waste is known as Class IV refuse.

Currently 68% of all the Class I waste and sludge produced in
Sevier County is composted each year. All Class IV is disposed of at Sevier
Solid Waste's Demolition Landfill.
