District 12-N Cabinet Meeting July 31
PDG Wolfe honored: PDG John Wolfe (right) was recognized Monday night at the Lions Club meeting with one of the highest recognitions Lions Club International has to offer. Bob Maes (left) quoted from a letter from the International Office which read, "On behalf of 1.4 million Lions Club members worldwide,... it is a pleasure to congratulate you on attaining the 50 Year Monarch Milestone Chevron Award."
Karns Club Fetes PDGs Dailey & Shannon: PDGs Joe Dailey and Bill Shannon of the Karns Lions Club were recognized at a picnic June 21 for their 50 years of service to Lions.
Award Presented: PDG Bill Moore presented the District 12-N Large Club award for 2009-10 to the incoming President Kathy Stoots of the Kingsport Lions Club.[Click on the image to see a larger view.]
Over 300,000 Screened: Acccording to PDG Lynn Wilhoite, Tennessee Lions Charities, 15,448 young people have been referred for professional eye examinations as a result of screenings conducted by Lions. Many of these could have experinced a lifetime of low vision or blindness had it not been for these caring Lions volunteers conducting screenings.
