The League has adopted Eligibility Criteria for candidates participating in League co-sponsored events.The Help America Vote Act was passed in October, 2002, to replace some voting systems, to provide assistance with the administration of federal elections and to establish minimum election administration standards for states and local governments. The State of Tennessee's HAVA site lists committee members and contains the text of Tennessee's implementation plan.

League membership is open to all U. S. citizens (male or female) age 18 or older upon payment of dues. Local dues are $50 and may be sent to our Local League address, payable to LWV K/KC. Persons who join become members of the local, state and national League of Women Voters.
