Statement of Intent:
It is not our desire to limit participation in forum events. However, if a co-sponsor desires proof of a viable campaign when considering inclusion of candidates in planned forum events, these are the criteria to determine eligibility. All three of the criteria must be met.
1. Documentation of Viable Fundraising. The Candidate will be asked to submit evidence of fundraising that is equal to 15% or more of the campaign funds held in the second-highest campaign treasury, as of July 1st.
Documentation that will be accepted:
a) Treasurer's reports currently on file with the Election Commission.
b) A preliminary report using the required form, signed by the Campaign Treasurer, if one has not yet been formally filed with the Election Commission.
2. Evidence of an Active Campaign. The Candidate must demonstrate that he/she has taken steps to inform the public of her/his campaign, campaign positions and that he/she is actively and consistently participating in public events.
The Candidate will submit at least 2 items from the following list:
a) Verification of a public announcement to the press.
b) Verification of the appointment of a campaign committee.
