Woman2Woman Voter Turnout Project
The goal of this joint
project with the Maryville Branch of the American Association of
University Women is to encourage new voters and "drop off" voters to
become informed on national issues and to vote in the 2008
Presidential Election. For more information, email Vandy Kemp
or call her at 363-8110.There are three components of the project:
- Voter Registration:
Carefully planned and scheduled registration events for new
voters. Volunteers will create a database of names and contact
numbers for all new registrants. Contact
Nancy Heintz, chair, if
you would like to help.
- Voter Education: Provide
information to Blount County voters on issues, candidate
positions, voter registration, and voting procedures and
locations.
- Drop-Off Voter Campaign:
Target "drop off" (those who have voted before, but do not vote
regularly) female voters with a person-to-person phone campaign.
