Smoky Mountains Hiking Club - Appalachian Trail Maintainers We are responsible for 100 miles of trail, extending northward from Wesser, NC through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, some of the A.T.'s most beautiful and rugged miles. Our Section Leaders plan basic maintenance activities and organize work parties to perform tasks along their sections of trail, which are between 1 and 4 miles long. Most of our maintenance work is done between March and November, usually on the first Saturday of the month. Individuals can help by volunteering their time to work with a maintenance crew removing windfalls, cutting weeds, and clearing drains as well as helping with large special projects, such as trail relocations and shelter construction. Subscribing to SMHC-ATMC

Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email.
