Dolly Parton's Imagination Library:

The Mary E. Tippitt Memorial Library in Townsend is now a registration point for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Blount County.  This program provides all preschoolers in Tennessee with their own books, mailed to them each month until their fifth birthday.  The books are free.  The program is being sponsored by the Maryville Kiwanis Foundation and managed by the Blount County Library.  Parents of children under the age of five can come to the Mary Tippitt Library and fill out a registration form.  The library will send the forms to the Blount County Library for entry into the program.
