www.atozkidsstuff.com:  Offers free lessons and activities for Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers, and School-Age children. This sight also includes links to reviews of Children's music, movies, and books. 

 

http://childfun.com: Provides craft ideas, printable coloring pages, and other activities parents can do with young children. 

 

www.coloringbookfun.com: A division of childfun.com, ColoringBookFun is still the largest free coloring page site on the internet. 

 

www.coloringpages.net: Free Printable Coloring Pages - You can choose from hundreds of printable coloring pages for kids!

http://www.dltk-kids.com: DLTK's Crafts for Kids features a variety of fun, printable children's crafts, coloring pages and more including projects for holidays, educational themes and some of your children's favorite cartoon characters. 

 

www.enchantedlearning.com: Produces children's educational web sites which are designed to capture the imagination while maximizing creativity, learning, and enjoyment. Full of craft ideas, coloring pages, and other reproducables. 

 

www.familyfun.go.com: Great ideas. Practical advice. Fun stuff to do. Lots of activities and crafts sorted by theme or age group. 

 

http://www.first-school.ws: First-School features free fun preschool lesson plans, educational early childhood activities, printable crafts, worksheets, calendar of events and other resources for children of preschool age. The preschool crafts, lesson plans and activities are appropriate and adaptable for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten level (ages 2 to 6).

 www.thebestkidsbooksite.com:  An interactive media channel where books, crafts, podcasts, online video, and web sources intersect. 

 

www.dawcl.com: "The purpose of this database is to create a tailored reading list of quality children's literature or to find out if a book has won one of the indexed awards."

 

www.cmlkids.com:  The Columbus Metropolitan Library's kid's page. The "Discover New Books" link has great lists of books appropriate to all age groups.

 

www.childrensliteraturenetwork.org: "Children's Literature Network provides connection, encouragement, education, camaraderie, and programming for adults who are passionate about encouraging kids to read." Includes booklists, authors birthdays and bios, and will even host author illustrator's pages. Does ask for membership but is not required to use the site. 

 

www.carolhurst.com:  This is a collection of reviews of great books for kids, ideas of ways to use them in the classroom and collections of books and activities about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes and professional topics. 

 

www.anchoragelibrary.org: The Anchorage Alaska Public Library website. Under Guides, go to Kids. Booklists include 3 Year Olds & Under, 3-5 Year Olds Part II, Battle of the Books 2006/2007, Beginning Chapter Books, Caldecott Awards, Dinosaur Books, Letter Literature, Awards, Titles, Historical, If you like Harry Potter...,Once Upon a Heroine, Picture Books by Themes, Read It, Story Packets 

 

www.literatureplace.com: A variety of literature-based resources and purchase options for teachers, school librarians, parents, and homeschoolers. Provides access to the most comprehensive collection of hands-on instructional resources that support the reading of whole books. The database is available for use by visitors, however, the resources for program must be purchased. Offers a subscription. 

 

http://nancykeane.com/rl The most comprehensive booklist site available (In my opinion). ATN (All Together Now) reading lists were started in 1996 for librarians not only to use as a resource but to contribute as well.

www.bookadventure.com:  Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. www.bookwink.com:  Bookwink is devoted to recommending the very best books for kids and teens in Grades 3 through 8.

EBSCO's Points of View Reference Center  is now available.  Points of View Reference Center is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides 200 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint
(opposing argument).  Click here to access the database.
