Stewards Ministry have been charged with and accepted the responsibility of being accountable to make an exact accounting of all tithes, offerings and contributions made to the church. Ensure the stewardship and distribution of church resources to edify the congregation, provide support to the Pastor, his family, relief for the needy and distressed members of the church.
Trustees Ministry have accepted the responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of church property. Initiate necessary improvements to the church and maintain order and the proper decorum to be observed throughout God’s house of worship.
The Stewardess Board assists the Preacher’s Steward in making provision for the support and comfort of the Pastor and his family.
The Deaconess Board prepares for the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism. The Deaconess Board’s main concern is mercy, both within and without the church. The Deaconess Board assists the Pastor in ministering to the sick and shut-in.
Women Home & Overseas Missionary Society
WH&OMS was organized in 1880 in Montgomery, Alabama by the Rev. Mark Bell. Active membership in this great body includes all the women of the AME Zion Church who through contributions and participation in the work of the Society indicate an interest in the cause of world evangelism. Membership is not restricted to women. Men may become honorary members without voting privileges.
There are six (6) departments comprising the Woman's Home and Overseas Missionary Society:
Board of Christian Education
The Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Christian Education is a lifelong endeavor. . Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church offers a variety of enriching programs for the spiritual and personal growth of youth and adults.
Sunday School provides a setting in which the Church has the unique opportunity to reach and teach people of all ages and from all walks of life about Jesus Christ. Sunday school serves as a “connecting point” for many of the ministry efforts of the Church.
Class Leader Ministry
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32
The Leader of Leaders supervises Class Leaders in ministry to the church body.
The Class Leader oversees one of the Bible Classes. The Class Meeting allows Class Leaders, Leader Of Leaders and Class Members an opportunity to respond on:
• How members of the class are doing with the Lord
• Reach out to one another in Christian Fellowship
• Let the Class Leader, Leader Of Leaders and/or another Class Member know if they are in need of help.
Music Ministry
While the whole assembly worshiped, the singers also sang and the trumpets sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
2 Chronicles 29:28
The focus of the Music Ministry is God Himself. The choir directors, musicians, and singers seek to lead the body of Christ in worship, praise and bring glory to the Lord. The children’s music ministry (Zion Promise choir) also affords musicians and singers the opportunity to help children discover the joy of worshiping God through various songs and choruses.
Ushers Ministry
The Ushers serve as doorkeepers in the house of the Lord. Ushers' help the church run more efficiently during worship services. They greet everyone with a warm welcome and are responsible for collecting offerings.
Young Adult Ministry – Spice of Life
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

Unites the community of young adults (18 – 45) of the church in Christian fellowship and their spiritual purpose.
