Better infrastructure.

More community service projects for the whole community.

Offer more modern community benefits like recycling pick-up and a digital library.

More reach programs for students or people in the community that are less fortunate.

Develop method to endure continued electric power service during bad weather.

Make cities/countries responsible for their actions and services.

Sewer and water expansion.

Make underground conduits large enough to accommodate future changes in utilities.

Utilize (U.T. Department of Energy/TVA) existing resources to enhance our quality of jobs and life.

Require sidewalks in new and old housing areas so people can walk more and safely.

Clean up our community.

Concentrated effort to move to solar power for electric power, heat, residential, and commercial.

Consolidate government-funded programs where there is overlap and duplication of services.

Develop a strategy for better voter turnout.

Create centers of excellence for entertainment, retail, business industry, education, recreation, so that we prevent suburban sprawling.

Improve recycling system.

Some parts of East Knoxville need to have storm sewers/drainage system upgraded/installed.

Invest more resources in people rather than structures.

Making sure that all area streets are wide enough for 2 cars and install catch basins and storm drains where needed.

Spend more money on fire departments, firefighters, policemen and on education.

Ensure the best fire protection we can have.

Hub and spoke system for coordinated community outreach services, includes individual cultural, civic meeting places.

Run a water line to a safer access point to get spring water on Highway 25E.

State or federal services available in Grainger County - driver's licenses, Social Security, passports.

More centralized post office in THIS community.

24-hour emergency services (police, ambulances, fire).

Emergency service has a minimum standard to be met by all counties.

Underground power lines and phone lines.

Medical/personal transportation available on a 24-hour basis.

Certified sewer system and water system.

Public utilities for ALL residents -- water, sewer, gas.

Utility facilities like KUB South Central Bell in a central location.

Highway patrol office in Union County more than one day a week.

Adequate living facilities for our adult mentally ill.

Better fire protection.

Better utilities, particularly drinking water.

Strong infrastructure for transition from poverty to prosperity -- housing, training, transportation, etc.

Paid firefighters -- need more than part-time firefighters.

Developmental agency that can assist with grant funding, small business, and non-profit.

More police officers on duty at night -- but sensitivity-trained.
