Be sure to attend the ORPCUG meeting on April 17. It promises to provide a wealth of information for all attendees!

ORPCUG President Steve Peyrot will demonstrate and allow you to experience things that have been under your browser's nose for years and yet most folks have never seen or experienced before.

While many of us use search engines to locate information or a link to a particular web site, some search engines provide many tools and applications that rival commercial products and for free! Come as you are, bring something to take notes, and prepare to be amazed!

Will you be one of the lucky meeting attendees to win one of the highly coveted "GEEK" ceramic coffee cups from Microsoft? Well, you can't win if you stay at home! A total of 10 cups will be given out plus other awards and prizes!

*Picasa is a software application for organizing and editing digital photos; it was originally created by Idealab and is now owned by Google. "Picasa" is a portmaneau** of the name of the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the phrase mi casa for "my house" and "pic" for pictures (personalized art). The icon and logo is a stylized house formed by the aperture blades of a photographic lens. In July 2004, Google began offering Picasa for free download. (from Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia)
------------
**Portmanteau is a term used to describe a word that fuses two function words. (also from Wikipedia)

PLEASE NOTE: Prior to this presentation there will be a short Question and Answer Session about other topics and problems that members may have encountered in their use of their computers during the last month.
