Erik Von Halle

The Meeting for Thursday, March 20, 200, will be

given by: Erick Von Halle

On: Free Web Sites and Blogs

Erik Von Halle a Macintosh enthusiast will be the guest speaker at the March Meeting and will be telling us about how to build and get your own Free Web Site and Blog. If you will remember, he has previously presented a program on how to put music in your computer.

This demonstration will include a short discussion on FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and the differences in being Connected to the Internet and being On the Internet. He will describe how TCP/IP works on all computers and how HTML,HML and XML are now universal (platform independent).

NB: The Church is having a revival during the week ending in Easter. Since they will be using primarily the central foyer and sanctuary, we can avoid disturbing their activities by entering the double glass door to the left (north) of the main foyer and proceeding to our usual meeting room.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Erik's free web page built using the Yahoo page wizards is located at: http://www.geocities.com/erikvonhalle/index.html

A hidden test page showing how easy this is, is located at: http://www.geocities.com/erikvonhalle/page2.htm

Erik is doing a blog on his exercise program at: http://geocities.com/erikvonhalle/blog/blog.html

Come to the meeting and learn how to create your own Free web sites and blogs in minutes.

In case there is time, he will present a demo of iTunes, loading CDs onto his iPod, and show how Podcasts work.

Remember as Liz Von Halle says "The job opportunities for unpaid volunteers are limitless."

We will have our Question and Answer session about other topics and problems, as usual.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
