Reverend David Lovelace (former pastor at FUMC Oak Ridge) who visited Obninsk in 1996 met the team and renewed old friendships.

6.00 p.m. Dr. Ken Luckmann (Program Co-Director) and his band provide entertainment at the American Cancer Society "Relay for Life" Fundraising event - Oak Ridge at Four Oakes Shopping Center.  "Buddy" Peters (owner - Peters Jewelry) arranged the event.

"Second Opinion" a rock band of local physicians (and a few ringers) performed.  Dr. Ken Luckmann (Oak Ridge co-director), plays bass (l).  Other band members are Dr. Daryl Harp (keyboards), Dr. Bill Prater (vocals and guitar), Rick Givens, a civil engineer (guitar and vocals), Dr. John Jernigan (drums) and Larry Sheumaker, owner Ridge Valve (sax and vocals).
